July 16 th to 27 th, 2017.
A two-week intensive Leadership and Team-Building program that is designed for motivated and curious young potential leaders who are passionate about exploring their future possibilities through strength based approach to collaborative leadership development with social and experiential learning context, towards being a highly social responsible leader.
How can our bootcamp make a difference?
MSA CBSD tends to capitalize on the leveraged potential of the current generation (generation Z/post digital natives) who are known for their exceptional capacity for learning and development, whilst their expectations for learning and development have been magnificently changed.
Professional development has been reformed to accommodate next generation's expectations, acknowledging the truth that every person has a unique signature strength, which is the only pathway for everyone to reach his/her full potential and live up to his/her capacity and aspirations.
Why you should attend MSA CBSD Bootcamp:
1- Young leaders will spend their day in a physically active and engaging environment that would help them interact with different sizes of groups to spur their personal development and team learning capacity.
2- You will get exposed to robust experiences that help you develop agile and digital thinking competencies through games and activities facilitated through our Learning Management System. Participants will be able to manage their learning and development through our online portal during camp hours and beyond.
3- You will have fun and make new friends, enlarging your network, while learning effective tips to become more influential and persuasive.
4- You will become much more effective and persuasive when making requests or negotiating demands whether on a personal or social level (family or school context).
5- You will get exposed to some thoughts and ideas that should help you choose the career that suits you best and aligns very well with your passion and skills.
Types of Activities:
1- Drawing and painting: Helping participants materialize their perspectives and viewpoints, making it easier for development.
2- Craft work: Participants will be required to produce some quality gifts for people they choose as influencing leaders who made an impact in their life, through guidance from a craft design expert.
3- Sports activities: There are several types of sports activities offered such as (e.g. People Chess where participants will replace chess units themselves to understand the imperative of good communication for leaders and how they can build collaborative strategies).
4- Outdoor team-building activities: Some very renowned games will be used such as (The big shoe, mine sweeper, treasure hunt, big ben, etc.) but another set of newly introduced games will be available to make it more fun and developmental at the same time.
5- Indoor team-building activities: Indoor activities are equally entertaining as outdoor ones and require more mental effort, yet immense cooperation is critical (eg. The tower exercise; a super interesting game that requires participants to employ a bunch of skills that shape the leader’s qualities, another game is the frame exercise that helps participants understand the value of effective communication as a superior leadership quality, while being able to demonstrate adequate development).
6- Public speaking day: We believe that true leaders are effective public speakers, they are not born speakers but they worked hard to make their voices more effective and influential. During the camp, participants will get exposed to few tips for effective public speaking with adequate leeway for practice, coaching and self-correction. The event will conclude with every delegate articulating his/her leadership understanding in a 12 minutes talk.
7- All activities are supported with pre & post workshops that avail an opportunity for participants to build concrete experience, and to reflect on their practices. Workshops are 45 minutes.
8- Some other energizing activities will be injected during each workshop, to make learning more meaningful and fun.
N.B: Please note we only provide refreshing juices and some pastries.
